Label & Rejection Guide

Not sure if your garment can be donated? Use this guide to check before you pack.

What we're looking for

Every garment must have a label or printed specification showing:​

  • Brand name (e.g. Sigvaris, Juzo, Medi, Jobst, Solidea)

  • Standard size (e.g. S, M, L, XL — or Roman numerals like I, II, III, IV — or a number)

The label is usually found on:

  • The waistband (tights and leggings)

  • The top hem or band (stockings and arm sleeves)

  • The neck (tops and upper-body garments)

✅  If you can read the brand and size clearly — it's good to donate.

Automatic rejection

⛔ Made-to-measure garments 

Any garment with “custom-made” on the label, or with a person's name on the label, cannot be accepted. These are made to an individual's specific measurements and cannot be safely matched to a new wearer.

The label doesn't state the size — no S/M/L, no Roman numeral (I/II/III/IV), no number. We cannot list an item without a confirmed size.
