Donate Your Compression Garments
Help us test a compression garment reuse service — and make compression more affordable for people with lipoedema.
We're working with ACS Clothing and Heriot-Watt University to test whether pre-owned compression garments can be professionally cleaned, safety-checked, and rehomed. This is a pilot service, and your donations are what make it possible. If you have compression garments sitting unused at home, please consider donating them.
What we can accept
✅ Ready-made garments that are lightly used or have only been tried on. This covers tights, leggings, stockings and arm sleeves in standard sizes, either letters (S, M, L, XL) or Roman numerals (I, II, III, IV).
✅ Made-to-order garments in standard sizes. Some garments are made when you order them but still follow a standard size chart. These are fine to send.
✅ Garments with light marks or stains. ACS Clothing professionally cleans and ozone-sanitises every garment, so minor surface marks are fine.
✅ Original tags, packaging or inserts, if you still have them. These help us match garments to new wearers, but don't worry if they're gone.

Please don't donate
❌ Damaged garments. This includes holes, ladders, broken or stretched elastic, or seams coming apart. We can't pass these on, and disposing of them adds costs the pilot can't absorb.
❌ Garments worn regularly for 4 months or more. Compression fabric loses its strength with wear. Washing helps it recover for a while, but most brands recommend replacing garments every 6 months. That leaves too little useful life for a second wearer.
❌ Made-to-measure garments. These are made to one person's measurements and have no standard size label, so we can't reliably match them to someone new. We hope to find a way to accept them in future.
🏷️ Labels must be attached
Brand and size labels are essential — we cannot list or safely match items without them. Please check before you pack.
What happens to your donation
Your garment goes through a three-step process:

Triage — each item is inspected against our quality checklist

Clean & sanitise — accepted garments are professionally laundered and ozone-sanitised by ACS Clothing

Rehomed — listed in the Compression Reuse Shop at a reduced price for someone who needs it
